Patient Case Study: Lorna, Dressage Coach

Michelle shares her experience of Connective Chiropractic, Basingstoke.

Michelle is a retired Police Officer. At the time of answering our patient survey she was in the third stage of her care (maintenance and wellbeing) after completing her initial course of care with us. She has since been on the Silver plan.

If you are thinking about going, that most likely means you need to go. So give it a go but don’t expect things to be sorted in one go. You will most likely need to go a number of times before you see any real difference.

How did you first find out about Chiropractic care?
Recommended by my brother

What were your main fears or drivers before coming to see a Chiropractor?
The cost and seeing little results

Michelle is a police officer (retired) and a patient at Connective Chiropractic

What drew you to Connective Chiropractic?
I had been going to another clinic but had moved house and found that it was a long way to go for a 10 minute appointment.  I liked the fact Connective Chiropractic was only a 10 minute drive.

Michelle’s experience at Connective Chiropractic

What was it like being a new patient at Connective Chiropractic? (What was the onboarding process like?)
You were made to feel welcome, and James took to time to listen to you and find out you and what your issues were before doing the first examination.

How would you describe your experience at our Basingstoke Chiropractic clinic so far?
James is always welcoming and happy to listen and seems happy to offer help and advice.

I know [Chiropractic] makes a difference to how l feel,  and l can do most things now without the discomfort. But my body does let me know when l need to go again. So it works for me and by maintaining the treatment means a monthly session keeps [me] enjoying life.

How would you describe yourself when you first came to see us at Connective Chiropractic? (What were you like before you started Chiropractic care with us?)
I had a lot of lower back pain, and suffering a lot with back ache doing simple chores like hoovering or ironing even if only for a short time. I was always very uncomfortable sitting and this often made an impact on enjoyable things like going out for meals because l could not get comfortable.

How have things changed for you since receiving Chiropractic Care at Connective Chiropractic? (How does Chiropractic help you?)
After seeing James l can now do those chores with out the back ache and go out for a meal without the discomfort. I always know when l need to go and see James because after seeing James and he’s sorted out my aches and pains and straighten me up l really feel the benefit of the treatment.

Thinking of the future

What do you hope to achieve by continuing Chiropractic care at Connective Chiropractic?
To continue to do daily activities without being always being in pain or nagging aches.

What would you say to someone who is thinking of coming in to see a Chiropractor? (What tip would you have given yourself when you first started seeing us?)
That if you are thinking about, that most likely means you need to go, so give it a go but don’t expect things to be sorted in one go. You will most likely need to go a number of times before you see any real difference.

What else would you like to say about your Chiropractic story so far?
I know it makes a difference to how l feel,  and l can do most things now without the discomfort. But my body does let me know when l need to go again. So it works for me and by maintaining the treatment means a monthly session keeps [me] enjoying life.

Michelle’s experience of Connective Chiropractic’s Ultimate Wellbeing Community

Why did you decide to join our membership? (Why do you continue to see us regularly after your initial course of care?)
Because it makes it more affordable and also because l know l need to maintain my treatment as l become uncomfortable and in pain without the treatment.

What would you say to someone thinking about joining our membership on the same plan that you are on?
It is a cost effective way of getting the treatment you need. With busy lives  that we all lead, being on a plan makes a simple and easy way to pay for the treatment.
