New Reactivation Policy at Connective Chiropractic goes live on October 31st 2019
We know it can be tough sometimes to remember to book in. It’s for this reason, we send out reminders and alerts to help you keep on track with your scheduled appointments. However, a long period of time in between sessions can create additional considerations for us as a clinic and in providing you the standard of care we all expect.
As time goes on your body changes, your medical health may change and also your appropriateness for Chiropractic care too may change. It’s why we’ve always endeavoured to reassess patients and guests when they rebook in after a break: It helps us to know what’s changed, what is going on and also how to serve you best- and in the safest way possible too. But as our clinic itself starts to age and we notice more and more are coming back to us after an extended break we felt it was time to make a more formal policy on this so that you know what to expect.
New Policy goes live on October 31st 2019
The new policy means that those that drop of their initial or further care for longer periods of time will need a reassessment. The industry standard is to reassess with any new condition or if you have been out of care for more than 6 months. It is common that clinics will charge in line with their initial consultation structure to reflect this.
6-12 months
We’ve decided to offer a reassessment FREE OF CHARGE within 6 to 12 months after your last appointment. This will be conducted as part of your standard appointment. We already do this in this way, so there is no change here.
More than 12 months
Where time has elapsed for more than 12 months however, we need to check things through in more detail, so we’ll book you in for a reactivation session (which is similar to an initial consultation) so we can check where you are at and ensure we have sufficient rationale for care to go forward and offer you care. We will charge in line with our initial consultation prices for this session.
The impact of the policy
Clinically speaking, the impact of this new policy means we can tighten up on our assessment procedure and ensure that you consistently receive the best care and only when you need it (In line with our rationale for care policy). Unlike many other clinics, we’ll give you an extra 6 months or so to book in so you don’t need to pay again for a more in depth reactivation session.
This policy does not impact anything to do with data protection under GDPR or make changes to our privacy policy.

In the interests of patient safety and to assist us in serving you best, it is our policy to reassess all patients who have not been to the clinic for 6 months.
Reassessments are conducted free of additional charge up to twelve months after the date of the last appointment.
Following 12 months, a full initial assessment is required and will be charged for at the standard rate.
This policy formally comes into force on October 31st 2019 and does not affect the retention of your data in line with our privacy policy
